2. Physical and chemical properties
HBCD is a mixture of three-kind-isomer white powder. The melting point will change with the different proportion of isomer in the certain range. The toxicity: LD50>40g/kg, odorless and involatile. It can dissolve in methyl, alcohol, ethanol, pentyl acetate, acetone and other organic solvents. TGA (5% WT loss) > 210 centigrade .

4. Application
Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) is a alicyclic flame retardant which has high bromine content. It has the highest flammable retardant efficiency. The smallest usage amount can reach excellent flammable resistance with tiny influence to material physical property. The product is mainly used in thermoplastic and thermoset high molecular polymers which require flame resistance. Especially, it has high quality when using in EPS(polystyrene foam, recommend usage 2%), polypropylene(recommend usage 2% HBCD, 1% Sb2O3) and other styrene. Besides, it can be used in fire-proof treated fabrics, butadiene styrene rubbers, binders, coatings and unsaturated polyesters.
Packing condition: 25kgs inner plastic and compound bag outside. Special packing is available upon required.
This product should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Must be handled carefully to avoid any damage or broken in transit.
