    Description:

    Carbon film resistors are a fixed form type resistor. They are constructed out of a ceramic carrier with a thin pure carbon film around it, that functions as resistive material.

    Applications:

    Can be installed into the power circuits of:

    • Power supplies and inverters

    • Uninterruptible Power Supplies

    • Energy saving lamps

    • Electronic Ballasts

    • Filament Protection of various types of lamps

    • Some types of heaters

    • For higher power circuits ask about the MF73

    and MF74 series surge suppressors.

    Specifications:

    1. General

    1.1 Scope

    This specification is available for Carbon Film Fixed Resistor manufactured by,it accords with RoHS test of Environment related substance requirement.

    1.2 Type designation (example)

    The type designation shall be in the following form and as specified.

    1.3 Rated power

    Rated power is maximum power which can be continuously loaded at specified ambient temperature

    70℃,as Table-1;however when the ambient temperature exceeds 70℃,rated power should be determined

    from the derating curve of Fig.1.

    the rated power and the value of which is calculated from the formula below.
