The control system operates in a fail-safe mode, with hydraulic control pressure used to hold open a ball or flapper assembly that will close if the control pressure is lost.

To generate tubing, professional special-purpose tube mills designed and fabricated by Meilong Tube is adopted, which utilizes gas-tungsten arc and laser beam welding of strip stock to form the tubing. When manufacturing process limitations prevent welding, tubing is welded to a bigger outer diameter, then go through multi reduction and heat treatment operations to achieve the final size, with a cold working process, sinking, and a floating-plug operation. To make sure the tubing obtains specified mechanical and corrosion resistant properties, an off-mill furnace with a reducing atmosphere is used for heat-treatment.
